NATCHEZ — Services for Willie Bonds Sr., 91, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Martin Luther King Road, with the Rev. Larry Wright Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Old Sixteen Cemetery in Kirby under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Mr. Bonds was born Sept. 12, 1927, in Kirby, the son of Mason Bonds Sr. and Katie Catherine Holden Bonds.

He was retired from International Paper Company and a member of Greater New Bethel Baptist Church.

Bonds was preceded in death by parents; his wife, Pecolia Tillman Bonds; three brothers, Jerry, Prentis and Robert Bonds; one sister, Eula Tarlton; one grandson, Christopher Griffin; and two granddaughters, Violetta Bonds and Anita Reynard.

Survivors include six sons, Mason and wife, LeBessa, and David Bonds and wife, Joann, all of Houston, Willie Bonds, Manuel Bonds and wife, Diane, and Vincent Bonds and wife, Laura, all of Natchez, and Willie Griffin and wife, Luvenia, of Huntsville, Ala.; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Willie Mae Miller, Doris Fitch and husband, Elde Jack, Lydia Moore, Mary Townsend, Patsy Denman and husband, Kenneth, Geraldine Cole, and Dorothy Myles and husband, Joseph; five brothers, Roosevelt Bonds and wife, Veronica, Marcie Bonds and wife, Carmen, Mason Bonds and wife, Sharon, Richard Bonds and Gerald Hess and wife,Larita; brother-in-law, Dr. J.D. Tillman and wife, Rose; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

 

Jeardlean Frederick

Dec. 28, 1963 – Nov. 6, 2018

 

WOODVILLE — Services for Jeardlean “Cookie” Frederick, 54, of Centreville, who died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bleak House Baptist Church in Woodville.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Annex in Woodville under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
