NATCHEZ — A truck carrying an oversized load pulled down a stop light and its pole in the intersection of U.S. 84 and U.S. 61 Saturday night at approximately 6:15 p.m. The truck was traveling north on U.S. 61 and was attempting to turn onto U.S. 84 traveling toward the Mississippi River Bridge.

Traffic was rerouted and Natchez police officers were on the scene directing traffic around the wreck. No one was injured in the wreck. A crane was being called to the scene to lift the pole off of the truck.

The intersection was cleared at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday.
