FERRIDAY — Bond is set for five suspects arrested last week in an armed robbery at Security Finance in Ferriday, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Bond is set at $450,000 each for the three suspects — Cedric Davis, John Dillard and Phil Wilson II — charged with armed robbery, CPSO Chief Deputy David Hedrick said.
Two men charged with accessory after the fact — Taire Nelson and Maurice Gibson — have bonds set at $150,000 each, Hedrick said.
Concordia Parish Division B Judge John Reeves set the bonds, Hedrick said.
“Thanks for keeping Concordia, Catahoula and Adams County safer,” reads a Wednesday morning social media post by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office. “I am thankful for both of our judges John Reeves, Kathy Johnson and District Attorney Brad Burget for all they do.”
Hedrick said he believes the bonds are appropriate for the charges.
“For the types of charges they were, the bonds are very appropriate,” Hedrick said. “These men put our community at risk when they did what they did, and I think the bonds are very reasonable.”
Hedrick also commended all the law enforcement agencies that helped make arrests in the case.
