NATCHEZ — Services for Devin Carter, 18, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, in Vicksburg, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Theresa Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Devin was born Jan. 10, 2000, in Natchez, the son of Paul Tighe Carter and Catherine La Nell Carman.
He was a recent graduate of Vidalia High School and worked at La Fiesta in Natchez as a waiter. He also was a cook at Sonic in Vicksburg. He had a love for music — he studied the piano and guitar which he loved to play in his spare time.
Carter was preceded in death by one sister, Danah Carter; paternal grandparents, James Isaac Carter and Margaret Diane Carter; god-grandparents, Robert Lynn and Shirley Ruth Welch; and paternal uncle, Joel Carter.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Mitchell Tighe Carter and Dillon Ray Carter; one sister, Miranda Danielle Carter; material grandparents, Gabriel and Ruby Louise Carman; paternal aunts, Joelene Toole and Paula Carter; maternal aunts, Christina Morris and Gabrielle Carman; maternal uncle, Gabriel Carman Jr.; and a number of cousins, both paternal and maternal.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
