Vidalia High School vs. Many High School

The Vikings will host the Many High School Tigers (11-1) who are the No. 1 seed at Dee Faircloth Viking Stadium with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Friday.

Many beat No. 16 seed Rayville High School 53-32 last Friday night and Vidalia beat Independence High School 28-20 at Independence.

Vidalia head coach Dee Faircloth said his team has been working to eliminate silly mistakes that have plagued the team and could threaten to keep them from winning tonight.

Ferriday High School vs. Helena College & Career Academy

Ferriday will travel to Greensburg, Louisiana, to take on the 10-2 and No. 6 seed St. Helena College & Career Academy Hawks. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Last Friday, the Ferriday  Trojans took care of District 2-2A foe General Trass High School 27-0 in the second round of the LHSAA Class 2A State Playoff.

Ferriday Head Coach Stanley Smith said afterwards that his team needs to play with more focus and more intensity.

That is what the Trojans have been focusing on this week in practices.
