VIDALIA — Concordia Parish is getting a new bulldozer that parish officials say will help them maintain the parish roads and landscape.
The Concordia Parish Police Jury members present unanimously approved purchase of the bulldozer during Monday’s regular meeting.
Jury president Jimmy Wilkinson and district four juror Jerry Beatty were absent.
The purchase went to the second lowest bidder, Caterpillar, because it came with a longer warranty, officials said.
The board received three bids for a new bulldozer.
Here is how the bids came in:
- H&E Equipment Services for $114,329.76 with a 12-month warranty;
- Caterpillar for $127,506.80 with a 36-month warranty;
