Natchez police investigating shots fired on Martin Luther King Jr. Street

NATCHEZ — Natchez police were investigating reports of multiple gunshots Monday night on Martin Luther King Jr. Street near Monroe Street.
Residents on Rankin Street and Union Street in downtown Natchez reported hearing a series of gunshots at approximately 11:10 p.m. Monday.
Officers were dispatched to the area to investigate and soon had crime scene tape cordoning off portions of the Zipy convenience store parking lot at 320 N. Martin Luther King Jr. St.
