NATCHEZ — Services for George “Doo Rock” Henyard Jr., 61, of Morgan City, La., who died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Edward Brown officiating.   
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the church.
Mr. Henyard was born July 6, 1957, in Natchez, the son of George Henyard Sr. and Laura Washington Jones.
He was employed by C&G Welding Inc., as an offshore welder. He was also a member of Poplar Hill Hunting Camp.
Henyard was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Archie Washington Sr. and Anneliza Clark Washington; stepfather, William “Shift” Jones; and one nephew, James Washington Jr.
Survivors include his mother of Natchez; three daughters, Paris Henyard and fiancé, Kenneth, and Georglyn Henyard, all of Morgan City, and LáToya Henyard of Atlanta; three grandchildren, ZáKyree, Chloe and Kenneth Gunner Jr., all of Morgan City; goddaughter, Reyone Rockward of Houma, La.; one brother, James Washington and wife, Janice, of Natchez; one sister, Joyce LuKonge of Garland, Texas; one aunt, Mary Jane Washington of Natchez; the mother of his children, Melissa Henyard-McBride of New Orleans; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
