The Sadie V. Thompson Class of 1968 is celebrating its Fourth Annual Turkey Giveaway from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at NAPAC.

The turkeys will be gifted to people who could benefit from them for Christmas.

Last year, we had a joyous event and gave away 85 turkeys.

I’m thankful I was able to attend that event.

Even though I continue to fight a very rare form of cancer, this time of the year is still my favorite and this project, in particular, has given me more hope for the future.

Further, the entire Class of 1968 continues to work to meet our goal to give away the 1,000 turkeys that God ordained us to do, and we are resolved as Christians to answer God’s calling upon us.

Over the past three years, we have made progress toward that goal.

Also, the Sadie V. Thompson High School Class of 1968 would like to take the opportunity to thank Walmat-Natchez and Southside Market for their generous donations to our cause.
