FAYETTE — Services for Doris Louise “Honey” Sampson, 86, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church in Fayette with the Rev. Sabrena G. Bartley officiating.  
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Sampson was born July 30, 1932, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Eugene and Coria Gaines Sampson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Delphine Sampson; and one granddaughter, Makela A. Sampson.
Survivors include five daughters, Barbara S. Perryman, Earlean Landing, Gwendolyn Joiner, LeVonne Sampson and Terri S. Carradine; one son, Dale L. Sampson; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Alphone Sampson; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
