NATCHEZ — Arrow Disposal Service Inc., garbage collection provider for the city of Natchez, will collect garbage one day behind the normal schedule for the remainder of the week, due to Tuesday’s Christmas holiday.
Arrow Disposal stated in a Monday social media post that it would not operate on Christmas Day.
Natchez Mayor Darryl Grennell said the schedule would be one day behind regular service days for the rest of the week.
“For instance, my garbage is normally collected on Mondays and Thursdays,” Grennell said, “so I will be putting my garbage out on Friday instead of Thursday this week.”
Garbage collection schedules will return to normal on Monday next week, Grennell said.
However, garbage will not be collected on Tuesday next week due to the New Year holiday falling on Tuesday, and the remainder of next week will run one day behind normal schedule, as well, Grennell said.
