Esteen Nettles Cupit

VIDALIA — Services for Esteen Nettles Cupit, 84, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at noon Friday at Vidalia Firts Baptist Church with Dr. Ralph Webber and Wes Faulk officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Esteen was born on Aug. 29,1934, in Bogue Chitto, the daughter of Richard Duncan Nettles and Vertis Mae Johnson Nettles Jr.
She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was member of Vidalia First Baptist Church where she was a member of Faith Sunday school class, and a former director of WMU and Young at Hearts.
She also loved attending Forever Fit. Esteen loved crocheting and cooking for her family
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Gene Cupit; two brothers, Leo Nettles and Chester Nettles; two daughters-in-law, Sarah Arthur Cupit and Joyce Chandler Cupit; two grandsons, Michael Shain Cupit and Joseph Wayne Cupit, granddaughter, Susan Jean Cupit; and great-granddaughter, Sonja Snyder.
Survivors include sons, Dicky Wayne Cupit and his wife, Sue, of Bastrop, La., Roy Glenn Cupit and his wife, Dora, of Baskin, La., Richard Anthony Cupit of Natchez and Dennis Keith Cupit and his wife, Lesa, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; daughter, Bernadette Barfield and her husband, Rick, of Vidalia; brother, R.E. Nettles, and his wife, Jerry, of Bogue Chitto; 16 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dicky Cupit, Glenn Cupit, Richard Cupit, Dennis Cupit, Bradley Cupit, Michael Little and Anthony Cupit.
