FERRIDAY — Funeral services for James Pankard Brasher, Jr., 63, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in New Orleans, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with Bro. Bo Swilley and Bro. Rick Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at Rogers Cemetery- Clayton under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 Sunday at the funeral home.

James Pankard Brasher, Jr. was born on Saturday, Dec. 3, 1955.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Brasher; parents, James Pankard Brasher, Sr. and Agnes Traxler Brasher; sister, Ada Brasher Finn; and three brother-in-laws, Sonny Finn, Winston Jenkins and Roger Kelly.

Survivors include one son, James Pankard Brasher III and his wife, Eva; two daughters, Rhonda Squyres and her husband, Micheal, and Dawn Trosclair and her husband Ben; seven grandchildren, Austyn Brasher, Audrey Brasher, Avery Brasher, Savannah Gann and her husband, Chris, Johnny Lee Johnson, III and his wife, Brooklin, Dakota Williams and Boltyn Paul Trosclair; four great-grandchildren, Bentley Gann, Locklyn Gann, Drake Johnson and Slade Johnson; two sisters, Jerri Kelly and Kay Jenkins; mother-in-law, Bettie Boutwell; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be James P. Brasher III, Micheal Squyres, Ben Trosclair, Johnny Johnson III, Chris Gann, Chip Kelly, Kelly Lange and Andy Yates.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph “Willie” Cox, Dennis Chapman, Craig Cox and Dave Upton.
