COVINGTON, La. — Services for Rose LaNeil Noble Redd, 88, of Covington, La., who died peacefully Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Louisiana 1085.

Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven, under the direction of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

In the event of severe weather, a committal service will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive.

Mrs. Redd was born June 28, 1930, in Jackson, the daughter of Lamar F. Noble Sr. and Edith Patrick Noble.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson. Her passions in life were to be a loving wife and a dedicated mother.

For the past 15 years, Redd was a member of First Baptist Church in Covington and active in the Lydia Bible Fellowship Class. Before making her home in Mandeville, La., she was a member of First Baptist Church in Natchez, where she worked as the church secretary for a number of years. Her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering to the end.

Redd’s interests over the years included sewing, crocheting, cooking and flower gardening. In later years, she enjoyed sewing baby blankets to donate to the Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center in Covington.

Redd was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph E. Redd; her parents; an infant sister, Sarah Helen Noble; one brother, Pat Noble; one sister, Edith Noble Posey; son-in-law, Elven Dykes; and step-granddaughter, Tracy D. Volante.

Survivors include four children, Judy Robertson and husband, Paul, David Redd and wife, Carol, Lucy Dykes and Gayle Humenansky; four grandchildren, Chad Robertson and wife, Cathy, Charise R. Wilson and husband, Bruce, Alister Humenansky and wife, Lauren, and Penelope H. Marceaux and husband, Aarien; five great-grandchildren, Camryn, Caleb and Conner Robertson, Abigail Wilson and Addilyn Humenansky; and five step-grandchildren, Kevin Dykes, Kenny Volante, Melanie D. White and husband, Shelby, George Forbes and wife, Stephanie, and their families.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Mrs. LaNeil Redd to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 16333 Louisiana 1085, Covington, LA 70433.
