In 2015, then candidate Patten, launched his campaign for sheriff with a commitment to “Connect Our Communities.” The intentional approach to accomplish this goal was through the “Three C’s of Commitment: Communication, Collaboration and Consideration.”

During his tenure as sheriff, county residents have witnessed a double digit drop in violent crimes in the county, increased fiscal responsibility and consistent community engagement.

Focusing on running an office that Adams County is proud of has been the foundation of Sheriff Patten’s time in office.

Over the last several years, Sheriff Patten has been honored by state and federal law enforcement agencies. While receiving national accommodations makes him proud, his greatest pride is Adams County and her citizens.

“Working to bridge the gap between residents and law enforcement has created collaboration like our county has not had in decades,” said Natalie M. Readus of the Committee to Re-elect Sheriff Patten.

It is with great pride, and stronger determination that we are honored to announce the Candidacy for Re-Election of Sheriff Travis Patten, Readus said.

“We have proven our commitment to the community and will continue to work with local, state and federal agencies to ensure the safest place for our citizens,” Patten said.
