CLAYTON — Services for Helen Ruth Cockerham Whiteman, 73, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Clayton Pentecostal Church with Melton Rushing and Ronnie Westberry officiating.
Burial will follow at Chalk Hill Cemetery in Jena, La., under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Whiteman was born Dec. 21, 1945, in Maysville, Ark., the daughter of James H. Cockerham Sr. and Icy Mae Steed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Whiteman; and two grandsons, Sgt. Seth Orcutt and Christopher Farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Orville Farmer Sr. and Craig Whiteman; four daughters, Lisa Cranfield and husband, Robert, Kristi Whiteman, Sheryl Whiteman and Amy Whiteman; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James “Buddy” J. Cockerham Jr. and David Cockerham.
Pallbearers will be Mike Orcutt, Vance Farmer, Michael Cockerham, Robert Cockerham, Courtney Cockerham and Donnie Tipton.
Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Jordan.
