NATCHEZ — Adams County Christian School’s fast-pitch softball team had several members of its 2018 team receive numerous post-season accolades after playing in the MAIS Class AAA South State and State tournaments.
Six members of the Lady Rebels’ squad made the District 5-AAA All-District Team, with four of them on the first team – Shelby Mason, who was named All-District Most Valuable Player, Marlee Magee, Mekenna Patt, and Becca Cowan. Savanna Spear and Geri Brumfield made the All-District second team.
And that was in a strong district that had South State runner-up Cathedral High School and state runner-up Silliman Institute. The Lady Rebels finished third in district play behind Silliman and Cathedral.
Mason also made the All-MAIS Team and was the MVP of last October’s All-Star Fast-Pitch Softball Game. Fellow seniors Magee and Patt also played in the All-Star Game.
And if that wasn’t enough for Mason, she decided to continue her softball career after she graduates from ACCS by signing a scholarship to play at Southwest Mississippi Community College last November.
