NATCHEZ — Services for Roosevelt Williams, 64, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2019, in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Watch Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Butler officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Mr. Williams was born on Feb. 12, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Cleo Williams and Willie Jackson.
He attended North Natchez Adams High School and was a member of the Zion Watch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Williams and Michael Jackson; one sister, Callie Ann Jackson; and one aunt, Alberta Strong.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Butler Williams; two sons, Roosevelt Parker and Al Reynolds; three daughters, Dasmine Butler, Rolanda Parker and Latoya Drake and husband, Calvin; one brother, David Smith; five sisters, Margaret Williams, Celoa Chaney and husband, Dewayne, Willie Mae Washington and husband, Earl, Brenda Jackson and Velma Williams and husband, Walter; special granddaughter, Brailyn Marshall; and grandchildren, relatives and friends. A repast will follow the service at the Natchez Community Center.
