NATCHEZ — Services for Yvonne T. Carter, 81, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. George Bannister officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Natchez, the daughter of Henery Truitt and Ruby Mae French Truitt. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jewel Harrison; and one stepdaughter, Sandy Kay Carter.
Survivors include her husband, Julius L. “Lee” Carter; one son, Bobby Lynn Messinger; two daughters, Pamela Martin and Sandra Bryant; one sister, Shirley Floyd; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Eddie Lee Carter and Patricia Lee Carter and their children.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
