Cathedral players make All-District

NATCHEZ — Several members of Cathedral School’s varsity softball team received post-season honors after a deep playoff run last autumn that included a runner-up finish at the MAIS Class AAA South State Tournament.
Senior shortstop Baylee Graning was one of five Lady Green Wave players to make the District 5-AAA All-District first team. She also played in the MAIS Fast-pitch All-Star Game and was named to the Class AAA All-State team.
Eighth-grade pitcher Addison Jackson also made the All-District first team and was named to the Class AAA All-State team.
Also named to the All-District first team were junior first baseman Fisher Iseminger, freshman catcher Lauren Dunbar, and sophomore third baseman Allie Feltus.
Junior centerfielder Hailey Ellis, junior second baseman Madeline Smith, and senior right fielder Adrianna Rojo all made All-District second team.
Cathedral finished in second place behind eventual state runner-up Silliman Institute in the district standings. The Lady Green Wave went 1-2 at the Class AAA State Tournament.
