Merrill said Vidalia police investigators responded to a complaint of child molestation.

During the course of the investigation, the Children’s Advocacy Center and police investigators interviewed children, leading investigators to believe Sibley had molested three juveniles.

“This department would like to thank Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office for the apprehension of Mr. Sibley,” Merrill said. “At this time no other information can be released, due to the ages of the victims and the nature of the offenses. More charges are pending as the investigation is still ongoing.”

As of Wednesday, Sibley was being held in Concordia Parish jail on charges of three counts of molestation of a juvenile and three counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and is awaiting a magistrate hearing.
