NATCHEZ — Services for Coolige “C.P.” Wallace, 95, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, in Natchez will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. James Lee officiating.  
Burial will follow in the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Saturday from noon until service time at the church.
C.P. was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Adams County, the son of Willie Walter Wallace and Malissa Seals Wallace.
He attended Brumfield High School and was a retired mechanic at Diamond National Plant and a cattle and horse rancher.  Mr. Wallace was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent at Fatherland Baptist Church.  He enjoyed rodeos, watching westerns on television and playing the guitar and harmonica.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, William, Flynn, Hardin and Nathaniel Wallace; and four sisters, Nanny Butcher, Lucille Causey, Neva Dumas and Roberta Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Wallace; one son, Walter P. Wallace and wife, Rita, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, Diane Wallace Kane and husband, Percival, of Lake Charles, La.; one sister, Ella Mae B. Smallwood; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
