FERRIDAY — Services for Theresa Pullon, 88, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at Columns Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Parish Catholic Church with the Rev. John Pardue officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. during visitation.
Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Pullon was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Ferriday, the daughter of George E. Davis, whose birth name was Jorge Anastasius Yavdis and was born and lived in Greece, and Mary Milder Davis. Her father’s name was changed to George Davis when he migrated to the United States at the age of 16.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pullon; her parents; one brother, Ernest Davis; and infant sister, Catherine Marsha Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Chris Pullon of Bristol, Va., and Ashley Pullon Daye of Lake St. John; one son, Kevin Pullon and wife, Tiffany, of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren, Micah Pullon and wife, Stevie, of Port Charlotte, Fla., Mitchell Daye and wife, Chantell, of Houma, La., Truly Rodgers and husband, Josh, of Brandon, Fla., and Paige Daye and fiancé, Andrew Antonelli, of New Orleans; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Davis of Ponchatoula, La., and Patricia Smith Atkin of Mesquite, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Michael Burley, Shannon Vogt, Felton Dupree, Bryant Hammett, Clint Vegas and Barry Maxwell.
Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or P.A.W.S.
