Centreville Academy beats ACCS 9-2

CENTREVILLE — Matthew Bihm held Adams County Christian School to just two hits as the Centreville Academy Tigers defeated the Rebels 9-2 Monday night for their first win of the season.
The only two hits Bihm allowed were off the bat of Rhet McDonald, who also walked and reached on an error. He gave up one run in the top of the third inning and another in the top of the seventh.
The Tigers scored one run in the top of the second inning and took command of the game with a three-run rally in the bottom of the second, followed by three more runs in the bottom of the third for a 7-1 lead. They added a couple of more runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Centreville finished with 11 base hits, with three of them being doubles.
Starting pitcher Andrew Merriett was charged with the loss after allowing four runs in three innings.
ACCS (0-2) will play host to a varsity doubleheader today. The Rebels take on Monterey High School at 4 p.m., followed by a showdown with Delta Charter School at 6 p.m.
