NATCHEZ — Exactly 25 years ago today, a local boutique opened its doors for business on Liberty Road.

Now, a quarter of a century later, that boutique, “Katie’s Ladies Apparel,” still services faithful customers with tasteful clothing, accessories and gift items.

“It has been an exciting 25 years, let me tell you,” store owner, Katie McCarstle said. “Things have changed over the years as our town has changed, but business has been wonderful.”

To celebrate, McCarstle and her team of eight to 10 ladies at “Katie’s Ladies” will be giving away refreshments and door prizes to lucky shoppers and supporters of her business from the time doors open at 10 a.m. until closing 5:30 p.m. today, McCarstle said.

McCarstle said she wants to thank the customers who helped her business reach its silver anniversary by hosting drawings for free clothes and other items from her store.

“We’re very thankful to our loyal customers who have supported us,” McCarstle said. “It has been such a feat to make it 25 years.”
