CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A memorial service for Linda Colter Lundy, 67, who died Thursday, March 14, in her home after a prolonged illness, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 23, at Rivermont Presbyterian Church, 3319 Hixson Pike in Chattanooga with a reception for family and friends to follow at the University of Tennessee Hope House at 808 Vine Street.

Linda is the daughter of the late Ray and Ruth Colter, a native of Natchez and longtime Chattanooga resident

She completed her BA and MA in history at the University of Mississippi and worked as a substitute teacher for many years at Ooltewah High School.

A lifelong loving and dedicated Presbyterian, Linda was active in her session and volunteered regularly to support both her congregations and UTC’s Presbyterian Campus Ministry at the Hope House, which, like Linda, shares love to students through food, hospitality and unconditional kindness.

She is survived by her husband, McKinley; children, Anna, Mack, Sarah and Adam; grandchildren, Lily, Charlie, Trillium and Forrester; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Eddie Burkes and Susan and Guy Hollingsworth.
