The Vikings found themselves in the hole 4-0 after four innings. A double by Brock Jones and another by Jordan David for the Sharks helped get the lead from starting Viking pitcher Brandon Bozeman.

In the Viking bottom of the fourth the Vikings got it going by sending 11 batters to the plate.

Tony Tolliver singled in a run, Dom Harveston reached on a fielder’s choice that scored a run and with a smart piece of base running by the senior Harveston he was able to get the runner in who was on third.  The Vikings in all were able to chase two Shark pitchers back to their dugout in the fourth; starting pitcher Carson Hall and his relief Ian Holm.

Alex Landry was the next Shark pitcher to take the mound Harveston stole third on him and then scored on a wild pitch.

The Vikings had scored five runs at the end of the fourth and led 5-4.

The Vikings had something cooking again in the sixth when Harveston, hustling down to first base as hard as he could beat out an infield hit and the throw. Four batters later and the Vikings led 8-4. Tristan Weatherly had an RBI and Dylan Laprarie had 2 RBI in the inning.

“We got down early but battled back in the fourth,” Coach Mike Norris said.

Sharks coach Adrian Boudreaux said he was happy Vidalia invited his team to the tournament.

The winning pitcher was Brandon Bozeman, the loss goes to Alex Landry. Adam Eames, who allowed only one run in three innings, gets the save for Vidalia.
