NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Alma Valentine Timmons, 85, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Vidalia, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Timmons was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Natchez, the daughter of Ralph Nathan Valentine and Edith Ann McFadden Valentine.
She was a 1952 graduate of Natchez High School. She was also a member of the Natchez Red Hats Society, a charter member of the Natchez and Shreveport, La. Salvation Army Auxiliaries, a hospice volunteer, and a member and elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Frank Martin Pitchford Jr.; and one sister, Marilyn France.
Survivors include her husband, Carl W. Timmons; two daughters, Lyn Latimer and Betsy Bradley, both of Natchez; one son, Butch Pitchford and wife, Patricia, of Baton Rouge; one step-daughter, Ramie McGee of Gardendale, Ala.; one step-son, Cody Timmons of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
