LOGANSPORT, La. — The Block High School Lady Bears got off to a good start, but they couldn’t keep the momentum going and eventually lost to the Logansport High School Lady Tigers 15-5 in five innings Tuesday afternoon in an LHSAA District 3-1A game.

Block scored one run in the top of the first inning and added four runs in the top of the second inning to grab a 5-0 lead over a good Logansport team.

But the Lady Tigers got two of those runs back in the bottom of the second to make it a 5-2 game.

As good as the Lady Bears did at the plate in the first two innings, their bats went silent in what turned out to be the final three innings as they were held scoreless over that span. And that allowed the Lady Tigers to come back in a big way, starting with a six-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the lead for good at 8-5.

But Logansport was not done yet – not by a long shot. With Block seemingly in disbelief that its lead was gone an inning earlier, the Lady Tigers scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to run-rule the Lady Bears.

Tylia Harbor was charged with the loss for Block. Tyren Carter had a triple and Katasia O’Steen had a double for the Lady Bears.

Block (2-6, 1-3) travels to Winnsboro, La. to take on Family Community Christian School for a varsity-only game today at 6 p.m.

Cedar Creek School 18, Delta Charter 0 (3 innings; Tuesday)

FERRIDAY — The Cedar Creek School Lady Cougars needed just three innings to defeat the Delta Charter School Lady Storm 18-0 Tuesday afternoon in LHSAA District 2-1A action. No other information on the game was available.

Delta Charter (7-9, 1-3) doesn’t play again until Monday, April 1 when it hits the road to take on Rayville High School at 6 p.m.
