JACKSON — The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks has launched an all new Hunting and Fishing Licensing System and Customer Dashboard, making license purchases easier than ever.
The standout feature of the new system is the auto-renew option for all annual hunting and fishing licenses. Outdoor enthusiasts can now opt-in for this convenient process upon purchasing a new license and their eligible licenses will automatically and securely renew before their set annual expiration date. MDWFP has really made getting, and staying, outdoors easier than ever.
“The Department is excited to offer auto-renewing licenses to all of our annual license purchasers,” said Dr. Sam Polles, Executive Director of Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. “The enhanced user experience we are able to offer Mississippi outdoorspeople through this new feature is one we are especially proud of.”
Any resident or non-resident interested in hunting or fishing Mississippi wildlife can take advantage of automatically renewing their license. Logging into the system only requires driver license number and issuance state, date of birth and state of residence and opting in to automatically renewing a license can be done with a click of a button. Automatic license renewals are not just limited to online license sales. If a license is purchased from the offline sales channels offered by MDWFP, license holders can log in to the new Customer Dashboard, post purchase, and enroll in the auto-renew program. Users of the Department’s award-winning mobile application take advantage of real-time updates to their digital licenses. Once a license is automatically renewed, app users will see their applicable licenses within their application automatically update.
“MDWFP is looking forward to continuing to focus on bringing new services and efficiencies to all outdoor enthusiast,” said Polles. “The new auto-renewal option, mobile game check, and digital licenses are just a few of the convenient services you’ll see from the Department this year.”
The Hunting and Fishing Customer Portal and automatic license renewals were developed at no-cost to the state of Mississippi through a self-funded, public-private partnership between the state of Mississippi and eGovernment partner, Mississippi Interactive, an NIC Company.
