NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Hugh Milton Burts Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 19, 2019, in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with Bro. Mark Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Hugh Milton Burts, Sr. was born on Thursday, November 11, 1943, in Ferriday, the son of Floyd M. Burts and Gertrude Cross Burts.

Mr. Burts retired from the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Concordia Parish School District.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Mary Alice Burts.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Burts of Natchez; daughter, Stephanie Moran and her husband, Chris, of Ruston, La.; son, Hugh “Bubba” Burts  and his wife, Mindy, of Natchez; son, Thomas Allen Burts, of Ferriday; grandchildren, Blair Moran, Olivia Moran, Magnus Moran, Mollie Burts, Andrew Harriss, Kaitlyn Calcote and her husband, Casey, Chandler Grayson and fiance, Jada Ganey, and Blake Grayson; brother, Benny Burts and his wife, Dianne of Natchitoches, La.

Pallbearers will be Casey Calcote, Kaleb Watts, Chandler Grayson, Blake Grayson, Chris Presnell, and Griff Toney.
