NATCHEZ — The Natchez Board of Aldermen will not be meeting today for their regularly scheduled finance and board meetings as at least three Aldermen could not attend for various reasons.

Pam Patterson, deputy clerk for the City of Natchez, sent an email last Wednesday notifying involved parties that the meeting, which was previously scheduled for today, had been postponed due to lack of a quorum.

Though the agenda has not been determined, Natchez Mayor Darryl Grennell said a special-called meeting would likely take place sometime next week in place of the regular meeting date.

“We just did not have a quorum,” Grennell said, adding that some aldermen were unable to make it on the regular meeting date due to conflicting work schedules and holiday travel.

“I have not set the agenda yet,” Grennell said.
