NATCHEZ — Services for Earl Lee Turner, 74, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 19, 2019, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.   
Burial will follow at St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery (McCoy Section) under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Turner was born on April 14, 1945, in Natchez, son of Willie Turner Sr. and Plaris King Turner.
He was a 1964 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School.
Earl was a retired insurance agent with American General Insurance Company and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church No.1. He enjoyed playing cards, watching sports and hanging out at Mike’s Place.
Turner was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elizabeth Knight Doss; two nieces, Sarah Knight Yearby and Jacqueline Kelly; two nephews, Gilbert Knight and Anthony Jackson; two brothers-in law, Eddie Jackson and Bill Cameron; and grandmother, Lou Stella King.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory Jones and wife, Faye, and Shawn Kaho and wife, Catina; one daughter, Amelda Thomas; two brothers, Robert King and wife, Julie, and Willie Turner Jr. and wife, Pat; three sisters, Edith T. Jackson, Edna McCoy and husband, LeeJoy, and Mary Cameron; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
