Two job training sessions will be offered — a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon today and an afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m.

During the job training sessions, experts in the tourism and travel industry will speak on a wide range of topics, including “Basic Customer Service/Service that Sells,” “The Working Class: Getting Started with Your Resume and Application,” “Do’s and Don’ts of Interviewing” and “Dress for Success.”

Hall said the job fair portion of the event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today and will include people in the travel and the tourism industry, who will be accepting applications and conducting some interviews.

“It is a great opportunity for people to know what jobs are there and are available,” Hall said.

The job fair is part of a series of events scheduled for each day of travel and tourism week.

On Wednesday, the National Park Service will host a ribbon cutting at Fort Rosalie. Visit Natchez will host a brown bag lunch and learn session on “Getting Connected with Social Media” at noon at the Natchez Convention Center.

On Thursday, the Special Olympics Torch Run will pass through downtown at 8 a.m. Namaste Natchez will host a yoga session on the bluff at 1:30 p.m. The Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce will host an After Hours event at 5 p.m. at the Hotel Vue. Natchez Brewing Company will host Tourism Trivia at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, a Hometown Pride Trash Pickup will begin at 9 a.m. at the gazebo on the bluff.
