NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Harold D. Briggs, 95, of Natchez who died Friday, May 10, 2019, at Promise Specialty Hospital will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Church of Natchez with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. Monday until service time at the church.

Mr. Briggs was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Merryville, La., the son of Eugene J. Briggs and Florence M. Briggs. He was a member of the First Church of Natchez and was a retired engineer consultant for oil field companies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Skeets Briggs, and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Cupstid Briggs, of Natchez; two sons, Barry Briggs of Texas, and Bart Briggs of Alabama; two daughters, Kim Graves of Vidalia, and Kristi Aubin of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Doris R. Williams and Betty Starks, both of Texas; three brothers, Roy Briggs and Jerry Briggs, both of Texas, and J.D. Baugas of Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends of the family.
