FERRIDAY — Services for Martha Hall Taylor, 75, of Ferriday, who died Monday, May 20, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow beside her husband at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor was born May 16, 1944, in Ferriday, the daughter of Albert Skipper and Arie Hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taylor; one son, Robert Taylor Jr.; her parents; three sisters, Laura Hall, Geneva Hall and Naomie Hall; and three brothers, Andrew Hall, Willie Hall and Herman Crockett.

Survivors include seven sons, Dexter Taylor and Bobby Taylor and wife, Rose, all of Ferriday, Ronnie Taylor and Willie Taylor and wife, Shirley, of New Orleans, Darron Taylor of San Antonio, Texas, Eric Felton of Jackson, and David Taylor and wife, Glenda, of Natchez; eight daughters, Joyce Carter and husband, Robert, and Cynthia Platt and husband, Ronald, all of Ferriday, Mayor Josephine Washington and Minnie Turner of Clayton, Margaret Washington of New Orleans, Bobbie Felton of Memphis, Tenn., Wanda Jennings of Hampton, Va., and Augree Taylor of California; two brothers,  Henry Bottley of Pittsburg, Calif., and Johnnie Hall of Ferriday; four sisters, Irma Williams of Natchez, Carrie Scott of New Orleans, Mildred Davis of Ferriday and Edna Broussard of Eudora, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a special grandson, Robert Taylor and wife, Katie, of Natchez; a devoted sister, Mildred; a devoted daughter, Josephine; a devoted daughter-in-law, Rose B.; dedicated friends, Gene T. Allen, Arthur “Pete” Johnson and Diane Dickerson, all of Ferriday; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
