Democratic candidate forums set for today, Thursday

 

NATCHEZ — The Adams County Democratic Executive Committee will host an Adams County Democratic Candidates Forums at 6 p.m. today and Thursday at the City of Natchez Council Chambers.

The forums will be held on consecutive days to account for the large number of Democratic candidates running for offices in the 2019 Adams County Elections.

Democratic candidates invited to participate tonight are running for the following positions: chancery clerk, circuit clerk, constables, sheriff, justice court judges, county prosecuting attorney and coroner.

Democratic candidates invited to participate Thursday night are running for the following positions: Adams County supervisors, tax assessor, tax collector, District Attorney District 6, Mississippi House District 94; Mississippi House District 96, Mississippi House District 97, Mississippi State Senate District 37 and Mississippi State Senate District 38.

Forums will allow each candidate 4 minutes to acknowledge his or her Democratic candidacy and express their post-election intentions.

Due to time constraints, no questions will be allowed from the floor at these particular forums.
