Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wayne Freeman of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Lea Freeman to Timothy Dale Matheney Jr., son of Mrs. Stephanie Serio Smith of Natchez and Mr. Timothy Dale Matheney of Frisco, Texas.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of University of Mississippi in Oxford. She is employed by South Panola School District in Batesville.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Landers of Hamburg and Mrs. Sarah Freeman of Natchez and the late Marvin C. Freeman.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of University of Mississippi in Oxford.

He is employed by Pratt Industries in Memphis, Tenn.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Patrick Matheney of Keokuk, Iowa, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Barnett Serio Jr. of Natchez.

The wedding will be 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Longwood in Natchez.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony. Formal invitations will be sent.
