NATCHEZ— Memorial services for Dick Dowling Power, 85, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Natchez with the Rev. Seth Duhs officiating.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Power was born June 14, 1934, in Shreveport, La., the son of Charles and Bessie Power.
He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and president of the LA/MS Locksmith Association. He taught safe manipulation (penetration) on an international level. He was also a member of the Vidalia Lions Club for more than 50 years. He was owner of Power Safe and Lock for 18 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth S. Power; three daughters, Betsy Sawyer of Vidalia, Jane Greer and husband, Kyle, of Ferriday, and Anne Donnarumma and husband, Fabrizio, of Baton Rouge; one sister, Patricia Malmay and husband, Patrick, of Denver; one sister-in-law, Ruth Sessions of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Michael Sawyer and wife, Christy, David Sawyer and wife, Crystal, and Jamie Greer; and four great- grandchildren.
Memorial donations are requested to be sent to either New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Natchez or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
