VIDALIA— Services for Eddie “June” Turner Jr., 66, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at River Bridge Specialty Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Old St. Reed Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathon Hargrave officiating.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.       
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Natchez, the son of Eddie and Mary Dixon Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Turner; and one sister, Cynthia Turner.
Survivors include his loving wife, Novella Washington Turner; one son, Eddie Turner and wife, Christen Ann, of Ferriday; one daughter, Anita Williams of Arlington, Texas; three brothers, Charles Williams and wife, Cynthia, David Turner and William Turner, all of Ferriday; five sisters, Doris Hooper  and husband, Ernest, Lisa Sims, Blanche Zeek  and husband, Elvie, Deloris Gibson and Kimberly Turner, all of Ferriday; three grandchildren, Arionna Williams and Asia Williams, of Arlington, and Javarius Turner of Ferriday; four aunts, Dorothy Gibson and husband, Bennie, Daisy Bellanger and Erma Turner, all of Ferriday, and Earlean Herron of Monticello, Ark.; three uncles, Ervin Dixon, Willie Dixon and Jimmie Dixon, all of California; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
