WINNSBORO, Louisiana — The Concordia Dixie Youth 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars are off to a good start at the Sub-district Tournament, having won two games over the weekend after a tough loss in their opener.

Ethan Keith provided a spark for the Concordia 11-12 All-Stars on Sunday with a three-run home run that gave them a decisive 12-1 win over the Morehouse All-Stars in four innings. Keith’s big blast ended that game by way of the 10-run rule.

The Concordia 11-12 All-Stars took on the Monroe All-Stars Monday night for seeding for next week’s district tournament in Rayville, La.

The Sub-district tournament did not start off so well for the Concordia 11-12 All-Stars, however, as they lost to the East Ouachita Recreation District All-Stars 8-7 to drop to the losers’ bracket.

Facing elimination, they bounced back with a hard-fought 5-4 win over the Catahoula All-Stars on Saturday.
