NATCHEZ— Services for Stephen “Lucky” Chaplin, 63, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.   
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Chaplin was born May 10, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Odis Clifton Turnage Sr. and Vera Bolin Turnage.
He was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle.  Mr. Chaplin was a hardworking electrician and a wonderful provider.  He loved playing horseshoes, listening to his music and spending time with his family.
Mr. Chaplin retired from Nicotri Electric Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father; and one brother, Odis “Bugs” Turnage Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Tamila Chaplin; three daughters, Angie Flint and husband, Pete, Nicole Smith and Stephanie Chaplin; his mother; two brothers, Vernon Ray Chaplin and wife, Jeanie, and Jeffery Dale Turnage; one sister, Kathryn Vercher and husband, Bobby; and six grandchildren, Anna and Hunter Flint, Destiny and Alyssa Smith, Jacob Hoover and Juliet Chaplin.

Pallbearers will be Barney Copeland, Hunter Flint, Ray Chaplin, Marl Creel, Bobby Norman and Billy Stout
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Colin and Robby Vercher.
