JONESVILLE— Services for Woodie Eugene Fairbanks, 61, of Jonesville, who died Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sandy Lake United Pentecostal Church in Jonesville with the Rev. James White, the Rev. Bobby Curtis, the Rev. Jack Knapp and the Rev. Dennis LaRavia officiating.
Burial will follow at Jena Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Fairbanks was born Oct. 15, 1957, in Natchez, the son of Bobbie Fairbanks and Jean Fairbanks.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Fairbanks; two daughters, Jessicah Fairbanks and Chelseah Miller and husband, Matthew; one son, Braden Fairbanks; his mother; four grandchildren, Carmilla Woods, Samuel Colt Childress, Parker Wayde Miller and Jesse Sullivan Fairbanks; one brother, Bobbie Mark Fairbanks; one sister, Kim Boothe and husband, Judge Leo Boothe; three nieces, Joni McKenzie and husband, Alan, Allie Boothe Winston and husband, Jake, and Lara Boothe; and one nephew, Wyatt Boothe.
Pallbearers will be Wyatt Boothe, James Aplin, Craig Edwards, Kevin Routon, Alan McKenzie, Tommy Stephens, Rex Harrison, Cliff Fairbanks, John Mark Stutson, Wayne Wilson, Paul Lazarus and Daryll Floyd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Brown, Bill Brown, Ronnie Bradford, Brian Wiley, Jimmy Jernigan, Grover Elliot, Wilber McLawchlin, Leo Boothe, Jimmy Childress, Mark Fairbanks, Leon Patten, Mike Stutson, Richard Young, Harmon Lakota Clark, Matthew Miller, David Carpenter, Jerry Lipsey and Lanny Lipsey.
Woodie was loved by so many and each and every one had a special place in his heart.
The family thanks all for the prayers, visits, phone calls, donations and the outpouring of love shown to Woodie and to all of us. We love you all.
