NATCHEZ — Services for Norman E. Carr, 64, of Tunica, Louisiana, who died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Baton Rouge General-Mid City Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Cliff Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mr. Carr was born April 13, 1955, in Brookhaven, the son of Oliver Kenneth Carr and June Evelyn Fischer Carr.

He was raised in the Kingston community and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Dianne Carr; four children, Julie Goudeau of Smithdale, Jason Scott, Jennifer Leet and Joyce Scott, all of Tunica; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Susan Stanley of Natchez; two brothers, Rodney Lewis Carr of Natchez and David Lane Carr and wife, Beth, of Krotz Springs, Louisiana; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kenneth and Lisa Gintz, Irving Stammerich of Tombstone, Arizona and Fred Kirby of Franklinton, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be members of the family and close friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
