NATCHEZ — Natchez Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of Seargent S. Prentiss and John R. Junkin drives.

Natchez Police Chief Walter Armstrong said no one was injured in the shooting, and he expects an arrest to be made soon.

Two passengers were in a vehicle that another person shot at and hit the vehicle several times, Armstrong said.

“We anticipate a good outcome,” Armstrong said of the investigation.

“If anybody has any info about the shooting or perhaps saw anything they can call the police department,” Armstrong said.
