Friday Prep Football Lineup: ACCS travels to rival

In this week’s 11 games, the Adams County Christian School Rebels versus Brookhaven Academy Cougars is this week’s Game of The Week.
The Rebels are coming off of a 26-0 loss to Midsouth Association of Independent Schools District 3 Class 5A opponent Silliman Institute.
In the District 3 standings, the Rebels are third, behind St. Aloysius (Vicksburg) Flashes and Silliman Institute. ACCS will have two more District 3 games with Oct. 11’s game against the first-place Flashes.
In tonight’s game the Rebels are facing rival Brookhaven Academy Cougars. The Cougars come into tonight’s game off of a 49-7 loss to Parklane Academy.
The last time the Rebels and Cougars squared off was in 2016. The Rebels defeated the Cougars, 35-20.
Clinton Christian Academy at Cathedral
What’s at stake: Cathedral High Green Wave need a victory to stay alive in the Class 4A playoffs. Green Wave have Senior Night and Pink Wave game.
Natchez High at Wingfield
What’s at stake: Another Region 3 Class 5A game for both teams. Wingfield is trying to end their six-game losing streak.
Key players to watch: Mike Williams and Kyreek Murray. Williams caught a 20-yard pass in which this pass set up the game-winning touchdown against Jim Hill, 33-32. Murray had four completions in the game against Jim Hill.
Ferriday High at General Trass
What’s at stake: Ferriday High Trojans will try aånd go 2-0 in District 2 Class 2A play with a win.
Key players to watch: Byron Milligan rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries. Kobe Dillion completed 11 of 19 passes in the win over Rayville High School, 50-0.
Vidalia High at Rayville
What’s at stake: A first District 2 Class 2A win is at stake for both teams. The Vikings would end a two-game losing streak with a win.
Sicily Island at Delta Charter
What’s at stake: A victory for the Delta Storm would end a four-game losing streak. Sicily Island needs a win to stop a two-game losing streak.
Key players to watch: Trey Griffin. Griffin rushed for a 19-yard touchdown in last Friday’s game against Oak Grove.
