Downtown Natchez Farmer’s Market director Eddie Burkes said the Saturday market would last from 8 a.m. until noon each Saturday through Nov. 23.

The seasonal Saturday markets replace the weekly Friday Pop-Up markets on Broadway Street, Burkes said.

During the farmer’s markets, local growers sell fresh produce as well as some dairy products directly to their consumers, Burkes said.

“It’s all about the farmers,” he said, “and giving them a place to sell their produce.”

The Saturday market also lends itself to local artists and chefs who supply handmade arts, crafts and home décor, homemade jam and jellies, baked goods, live music and more, Burkes said.

“We average about 35 vendors each week,” Burkes said. “… We’ll have all of our fall produce as well as some arts and crafts every Saturday until Nov. 23.”
