NATCHEZ — One week into Fall Pilgrimage in Natchez and ticket sales are breaking records, marketing manager Linda Smith said.
“The house packages and the Natchez Experience are both selling like crazy,” Smith said.
Upwards of 500 tickets were pre-purchased online before Fall Pilgrimage kicked off Sept. 27, organizers said.
As of Thursday, Smith said approximately 150 additional tour packages, 50 Natchez Experience packages and 120 Longwood tickets were sold in the first week and counting.
“We are breaking records. The numbers are increasing by the day and online sales are also increasing — especially for the house packages,” Smith said. “… I get a notification every time a ticket is sold and my phone has not stopped buzzing. … The city is packed with tourists and we’re so happy to see the outcome — the results of our sales and the crowds that are coming into Natchez.”
Fall Pilgrimage continues through Oct. 14 and features several exclusive antebellum house tours that are not available year-round as well as house and museum tours at Stanton Hall, Longwood and Rosalie and three different ghost tours at Longwood, The Towers and The Burn.
