Natchez High campus vandalized over weekend
NATCHEZ — The outdoor walls and doors inside the courtyard area of Natchez High School was covered in obscene graffiti when students returned from the weekend for school Monday morning.
Virtually every building and some sidewalks on the campus had been spray painted with foul language and obscene images.
Natchez Adams School District Deputy Superintendent Zandra McDonald said police are investigating the vandalism at the school, which she believes may have occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday.
Maintenance workers had already washed some of the marks off of the building by Monday afternoon.
“At this time, we don’t have any reason to believe our students were involved,” McDonald said. “We are currently working with our local law enforcement officers to resolve this issue. … All classes will continue as scheduled.”
