JONESVILLE— Services for Travis Lee Sanders, 75, of Jonesville, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be 1 p.m. today at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville with the Rev. Bishop Jack Knapp, the Rev. Bruce Lofton and the Rev. Stuart Sherman officiating.
Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, Louisiana, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Mr. Sanders was born June 16, 1944, in Ferriday, the son of Travis I. Sanders and Myrtle Wiley Sanders.
He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville.
He owned and operated Sanders Parts Center in Jonesville for more than 34 years. After retirement, he worked at Catahoula Correctional Center for five years. He was also a deputy with Catahoula Parish Mounted Patrol for a number of years. Travis enjoyed fishing and he loved singing and playing bluegrass music on his guitar and fiddle.
He was preceded in death his wife, Jeanette Edwards Sanders and his parents.
Survivors include his wife of more than 20 years, Audrey Wiley Sanders; one son, Kevin Sanders Blakley and husband, Chuck, of Downsville, Louisiana; two stepsons, Bruce Lofton and wife, Cindy, of Jonesville and Jamie Lofton and wife, Tish, of West Monroe, Louisiana; nine grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and one aunt, Altha Wiley Dority.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Wiley, Brent Lofton, Logan Lofton, Kyle Burley, Landon Lofton and Braden Lofton.
